Spa Day • Designer Selma Sherman designed Dr. Suzan Obagi’s Shadyside office to look like a spa — it used to be a Thai restaurant! Now, the space is calm and relaxing, instead of a typical, sterile medical office. “I used the colors found in nature to accomplish this. I also used a water feature — the copper fountain on the blue tiled wall — to produce a calming atmosphere. The chandelier in the waiting room is made to look like branches, following in the nature theme,” Sherman says. Beautiful glass tiles in hues of blue (to tie in with Dr. Obagi’s Blue Peel) complete the upscale spa feel.
